Narrow by City
Uptown Waterloo
Uptown Waterloo is filled with dozens of places to enjoy an evening out. From lively bars to quaint restaurants, there are options for whatever kind of night you’re aiming to have. This area is the most densely populated bar, restaurant and cafe region in Kitchener-Waterloo, so you’ll never find yourself searching too long to find something to do.
University District
Waterloo is home to both Wilfred Laurier and Waterloo University. Both of these schools are thriving and play an integral role in shaping the cultural energy of the region. The University of Waterloo has seen an increase in enrolment year after year, with over 28,000 students in 2012.
Forest Hill
Forest Hill, is a mature, mid-century neighbourhood located in central Kitchener. Most of the area is covered in mid-sized suburban bungalows and side-splits often populated by a mix of families and older residents. The subdivision has been around since the early 1960’s. It’s an ideal place to settle down.
Downtown Kitchener
Downtown Kitchener is one of the oldest and the most developed neighbourhoods in the region. Its marriage between rich history and technology creates a unique and beautiful presence. It offers a plethora of sources that make it a great place to live. Thanks to the number of jobs and activities in the area, it’s also understandably the heart of Kitchener-Waterloo.
Stanley Park
When you think Stanley Park, think tree-lined, established and quiet. And, most of all, parks. Stanley Park is dominated by Idlewood Park, which occupies the southeastern section of the neighbourhood and offers residents a chance to experience nature in their own backyard, as paths wind through the forest, wetlands and natural areas of the park.
Alpine Village
Alpine Village, located in the heart of south Kitchener, offers multiple amenities. Bordered by Ottawa street on the north and Block Line Road in the south, with Strasburg Road making up its western boundary and Homer Watson it’s eastern, this is one of the smaller neighbourhoods in the Twin Cities. Within its borders exists streets lined with mature trees offering a canopy to modest, post-war suburban homes.
Forest Heights
Forest Heights is a sprawling neighbourhood that makes up the southwest section of Kitchener. Bordered by Highland Road West in the north, the Conestoga Parkway in the south and Ira Needles Boulevard in the west and Fischer Hallman Road in the east, the neighbourhood is a winding collection of crescents, drives and parks. The primarily residential area is one of the more established neighbourhoods in Kitchener, especially for families.
Country Hills
Country Hills has much to offer, for both parents and their children. This family-friendly atmosphere has many crescents, parks linking homes together and a bevy of facilities for sports enthusiasts. The neighbourhood is made up of two sub-neighbourhoods, Country Hills West and Country Hills East, and is bordered on the east by Homer Watson Boulevard, offering a quick link to the 401 and beyond.
Huron Park & Brigadoon
The southern edge of Kitchener is a mix of city, nature and agricultural areas. Nestled within this mix are the communities of Brigadoon and Huron Park.
Bridgeport
The neighbourhood is divided into three sub-neighbourhoods (Bridgeport North, Bridgeport East and Bridgeport West). The defining aspect of the neighbourhood is the Grand River, which picturesquely winds throughout the neighbourhood.
